Time Code
Time code is used to synchronize various audio and video sources. It was originally developed to allow electronic recording to line up with sprocketed film. (Those perforations on either side of 35mm film are used to keep it in sync mechanically.) Magnetic tape or hard disks don’t have sprocket holes so we record the electronic equivalent - time-code. This allows us to do extensive audio work in all sorts of different formats and media and still have them all match up. If you need time code or have a time code problem, we can take care of it. From time code DAT to ¼"-halftrack center track time code, ADAT and DA-88, 2-inch multi-track and more. All our computers and tape machines can be synched.
